Tune-Yards & Xenia Rubinos @ Brooklyn Steel (pics, setlist)

Tune-Yards wrapped up their North American tour in NYC at Brooklyn Steel this past Friday (3/9). Between Tune-Yards’ political new album I Can Feel You Creep Into My Private Life and well-matched opener Xenia Rubinos‘ political songs like “Mexican Chef,” it was a very fired-up show. Tune-Yards mostly stuck to the new album, but also played w h o k i l l faves like “Bizness,” “Gangsta,” “Powa,” and “Es-So,” with just one song from 2014’s Nikki Nack, “Water Fountain” (and nothing from her debut). Pictures of the show are in the gallery above and Tune-Yards’ setlist is below.

Tune-Yards have more tour dates coming up through 2018, including two NYC shows with David Byrne: 9/15 at Forest Hills Stadium (tickets) and 9/17 at Kings Theatre (sold out).
