TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe is teaming with artist/sculptor Ivan Navarro for what looks to be a one-of-a-kind performance. Dubbed “OÍDO: An Experiment in Sound and Sculpture” will take place at Saints Peter & Paul Theater in Williamsburg on December 15. Navarro’s sculpture was created for the event and will be used like an instrument for the performance. The event is a fundraiser for PS 84’s Rooftop Hydroponic Greenhouse Classroom. Tickets are on sale now and includes an opening reception with hor d’oeurves and beer by Brooklyn Brewery. There’s an afterparty too with DJ Krycheck, which you can buy tickets for separately (same ticket link).

Meanwhile, Tunde will perform this Saturday (12/8) at Union Pool as part of Higgins Waterproof Black Magic Band. They’re the opening act for Yeah Yeah Yeahs which is a Hurricane Sandy relief benefit. That show is, no surprise, sold out.

Flyer for the OÍDO event is below.
