Twin Shadow‘s tour bus was part of a multi-vehicle accident early Friday (4/17) on a stretch of I-70 just outside Denver, Colorado, The Denver Post reports:

“I’ve been in an accident. I’m in pain but I am conscious. Help is here,” bass and keyboard player Spencer Zahn texted his mother Dorrelle Zahn. “He knows that I would be a worry wart.”

I-70 has been shut down in both directions at E-470 in Aurora on because of the crash that left “multiple” people injured, authorities say. Colorado State Patrol said the victims’ injuries range from minor to serious.

Two buses, two semi-tractor trailers and a motor home were involved in the accident. Twelve people received minor to severe injuries, according to CSP. Photos released from the scene show the front of one of the buses mangled behind the back of a Federal Express semi-tractor-trailer.

State patrol Trooper Josh Lewis said the band had two tour buses, and the one carrying the crew was most seriously damaged.

“The only people transported were from the crew bus,” Lewis said.

Twin Shadow were due to play Denver tonight (4/17) but that show has been canceled. Let’s hope everyone involved recovers quickly.
