two Mica Levi (Micachu) compositions being released on new 7" (listen)

Thanks to her Oscar-nominated score for Jackie, Mica Levi is as well-known these days as a composer as she is as an avant pop musician. Those distinct sides are coming together as two of Levi’s more classical-minded competitions are being released on the ultimate pop format — a 45RPM single. “Peace,” which Levi wrote for her mother, is performed by cellist Oliver Coates (who she collaborated on the album Remain Calm); “Riding Through Drinking Harpo Dine” is the first of a series of compositions written for pianist Eliza McCarthy (who played on the Jackie soundtrack).
