Two Tongues

Two Tongues (Saves the Day/Say Anything) going on first tour, planning new album (UPDATE: tour cancelled)

Back in 2009, Saves the Day frontman Chris Conley and Say Anything frontman Max Bemis released a collaborative album under the name Two Tongues. According to some recent tweets by Max, a followup is coming this year. Details on that are still TBA, but the band did just announce their first-ever tour.

The tour will have them playing Two Tongues songs, plus a set of Saves the Day and Say Anything songs. Opening on all dates is Backwards Dancer, the band fronted by former Hotelier guitarist Zack Shaw.

The tour hits NYC on November 9 at The Bell House and November 12 at Le Poisson Rouge. Tickets for all dates are on presale now. General on-sales for the Bell House show and LPR show begin Thursday (7/28) at noon. All dates are listed below.

UPDATE: The whole tour was cancelled:

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Two Tongues is unable to proceed with the tour this fall. We endlessly appreciate y’all…

In related news, Chris Conley was recently on United Nations member Jonah Bayer’s Going Off Track podcast, along with Noisey’s Dan Ozzi. Saves the Day are also playing 2001’s Stay What You Are in full at FYF Fest, and playing a FYF After Dark show with Hop Along. They also have tour dates with Coheed & Cambria, including NYC-area shows in Port Chester and NJ.

Say Anything were last in NYC on their tour with mewithoutYou, Teen Suicide and Museum Mouth. They surprise-released I Don’t Think It Is earlier this year.
