Union Hall still closed after fire (look at this photo from inside) ++ show updates

UPDATE: Earlier today, March 31, a week after the fire, Union Hall updated with the following message:

There was a fire at Union Hall Friday, March 24. No one was injured and the fire was quickly contained but there was damage, which is currently being assessed. In the short term we will be closed and all shows are cancelled for April (or moved to later date), except where noted and moved to other locations. We hope to reopen as quickly as possible.

We appreciate all the support from the community and will keep you updated.

The Orindal Records Label Showcase on April 7 featuring Advance Base, Lisa/Lisa, Karima Walker, Hello Shark & a secret guest has been moved to Our Wicked Lady. (tickets)

Jenny Owen Youngs, Jess Abbott (of Tancred), Zach Jones (of Zach Jones & The Tricky Bits) on April 8 has been cancelled.

John Davis & The Cicadas, Marble Fawn, and Low-Ways on April 13 has been cancelled, with a new location TBA.

Union Hall remains closed after the fire that broke out shortly before midnight on Friday, March 24. As we mentioned, everyone was evacuated safely, but the venue sustained major damage and it’s uncertain when it will reopen. So far, events through April 2 are cancelled, which is kind of like stating the obvious after you look at the above photograph of the upstairs bar area, and the ones below.

For now, tickets for shows and events from April 4 on are still on sale, although no word yet on whether they, too, will need to be cancelled or moved. Stay tuned for further updates.
