Unknown Mortal Orchestra have announced more tour dates, including a coast-to-coast run with openers Lower Dens (who just played House of Vans in Brooklyn). The tour currently is scheduled to conclude with two NYC shows at Irving Plaza on February 19 & 20. Tickets for the NYC shows go on sale Friday at 10 AM with Music Geeks and Noisey presales starting Wednesday at 10 AM. All dates are listed below.

In other news, UMO’s Ruban Neilson has remixed “Cellphone,” the current single from Silicon — aka Ruban’s brother Kody who were both in The Mint Chicks together. (Kody previously went by Opossom post-Mint Chicks.) Ruban radically reworks it, injecting some funky muscle into the bleepy-bloopy original, and it would make a great back-to-back with UMO’s “Can’t Keep Checking My Phone.” You can stream it below.

“Cellphone” is off Silicon’s debut album, Personal Computer, which came out not too long ago on Domino-related label Weird World. You can listen to the whole thing via Silicon’s interactive website.
