Vagabon announces debut album, playing shows with Frankie Cosmos & Sad13
Vagabon (the project of NYC-based musician Lætitia Tamko) caught our ears with the impressive Persian Garden EP on Miscreant Records (2014), and now Lætitia is set to release her debut album. It’s called Infinite Worlds, and it drops February 24 via Father/Daughter (pre-order). Lead single “Fear & Force” is a reworked version of “Vermont II” from that EP, and the new version sounds great. It’s slow, melancholic, and driven home by Lætitia’s powerful voice. Listen below, via NPR.
Lætitia recently joined Crying on stage at Music Hall of Williamsburg (she also sings on their album) and opened for Sad13 at Alphaville. Her next NYC show is opening for Frankie Cosmos and Big Thief at Webster Hall this Sunday (11/13) (tickets). After that, she begins a tour with Sad13, including the Jersey show on 11/19 at Monty Hall (tickets) and the Brooklyn show on 12/13 at Baby’s All Right (tickets). All dates are listed below.
