Vampire Weekend‘s Chris Baio is releasing the first-ever full length album for his solo project, Baio. It’s called The Names, is due out September 18 via Glassnote, and features lead single “Sister Of Pearl.” You can certainly tell, instrumentally at least, that it’s written by a member of Vampire Weekend, and Baio also adds that the song intentionally references David Bowie and Bryan Ferry. Listen below.

Baio also has tour dates coming up, including NYC on September 17 at Rough Trade. Tickets for that show go on AmEx presale today (7/15) at noon with the general on-sale starting Friday (7/17) at noon. All dates are listed below.

In related news, Baio’s VW bandmate Ezra Koenig is one of the many musicians with an Apple Music radio show, which he recently debuted. His first show featured songs by Earl Sweatshirt, Skepta, Rihanna, Fetty Wap, and more. You can listen to the whole show and check out the tracklist below.
