Vampire Weekend celebrate new LP with NY State Tour (NYC w/ bagels & pizza!)
Vampire Weekend‘s anticipated new album, Father of the Bride, is out May 3 and to celebrate they’re going on a special New York State Tour around the release date, hitting Buffalo, Kingston and NYC.
The NYC show, happening at Webster Hall on May 5, is extra special, a “live all day” show: “Three sets including a full performance of the new album, Father of the Bride, in its entirety. A bagel breakfast and a pizza lunch included. All in all a fun day to celebrate the new album. We’ll see you that morning and have you home in time for dinner.” But what about pizza ON a bagel? Then you can have pizza anytime.
Tickets for the Buffalo, Kingston and NYC shows go on sale Friday, April 12 at 10 AM and you’ll need to sign up for Vampire Weekend’s Ticket Request Program by 10 PM tonight (4/10) for your chance to get tickets to the all-day Webster Hall show.
Vampire Weekend will launch their proper tour in June, and return to NYC on September 6 at Madison Square Garden and Angelique Kidjo and Despot (tickets). Updated tour dates are listed, along with streams of “This Life” & “Unbearably White” from the new album, below.
