Vampire Weekend share two new songs, confirm album release date

Vampire Weekend FOTB

After releasing “Harmony Hall” and “2021” from their first album in six years, Father of the Bride, Vampire Weekend have now shared two more songs, “Sunflower” (featuring The Internet’s Steve Lacy) and “Big Blue.” “Sunflower” is a funky, whimsical song for VW’s standards, while “Big Blue” is a bit more classic Vampire Weekend, with some nice slide guitar thrown in for good measure. Listen to both below.

VW also confirmed that Father of the Bride will be out May 3 via Columbia. That’s the artwork above. Full tracklist still TBA, but we know it’s an 18-song double album.

Vampire Weekend also have several tour dates coming up, including a huge NYC show at Madison Square Garden on September 6 with Angelique Kidjo and Despot (tickets). Today, they were announced for Detroit’s Mo Pop Festival. All dates and tickets here.
