Vanishing Life

Vanishing Life (Walter Schreifels) releasing debut LP & touring; Dead Heavens & Nothing opening for Frank Iero

Walter Schreifels‘ band Vanishing Life debuted in 2014 with a 7″ on Collect Records, and they’re now set to release their first full length, Surveillance, on November 11 via Dine Alone. Vanishing Life is something of a supergroup, with Trail of Dead members Jamie Miller and Autry Fulbright (the former of which joined Bad Religion earlier this year), and Rise Against’s Zach Blair. New single “Realist” isn’t quite like any of Walter’s other bands, but it’s more in his classic post-hardcore/punk realm than Walter’s other current band Dead Heavens or his solo project. It’s a ripper, and you can hear it below. The album was recorded with Davey Warsop, and Glassjaw frontman Daryl Palumbo mastered it.

Vanishing Life are also touring, including a NYC show on November 13 at The Studio at Webster Hall with Sierra Kay’s new band Neaux (who also play NYC with Culture Abuse and Drug Church sooner) and Red Hymns. Tickets for that show are on sale now. All dates are listed below.

Walter’s band Dead Heavens, who last played NYC a few weeks ago, have one show coming up at the moment too. It’s in Jersey on October 28 at Starland Ballroom opening for My Chemical Romance’s Frank Iero (and his band The Patience), plus Nothing is on the bill too which is kinda cool. Tickets are on sale. If you wanna see Frank Iero in NYC, you can catch him November 26 at Bowery Ballroom with The So So Glos opening (tickets).

Meanwhile, Jamie Miller is in NYC as we speak on the Bad Religion / Against Me! tour, which hit Irving Plaza last night (10/3) and does so again tonight (10/4).
