Velvet Negroni releasing debut LP on 4AD, playing shows (listen to "CONFETTI")

Velvet Negroni is the project of Minneapolis artist and musician Jeremy Nutzman. He’s previously released music as Pony Bwoy and Spyder Baybie Raw Dog, and appeared on albums from fellow Minneapolis acts Polica, Har Mar Superstar, and Marijuana Deathsquads, but this current project is the one that caught the attention of Bon Iver (who had him open his tour, and included him on Eaux Claires‘ 2017 lineup) and Kanye West and Kid Cudi (who sampled his song “Waves” on the Kids See Ghosts track “Feel The Love”). Now he’s announced his debut LP as Velvet Negroni, Neon Brown, due out August 30 via 4AD. See the album art and tracklisting below. First single “CONFETTI” adorns woozy R&B with horns, and you can listen to it below.

Velvet Negroni hasn’t announced a full tour, but he is playing a few shows coming up, including one at NYC’s Baby’s All Right on May 29 with Andrea Valle and DJs Nasty Nigel and Maachewbentley. Tickets are on sale now. See all of Velvet Negroni’s upcoming tour dates below.
