Village Halloween Parade does it robot style in 2018, selling VIP tickets too

One NYC’s biggest (and most beloved) Halloween events is the annual Village Halloween Parade, which celebrates its 45th edition on Wednesday with the theme “I AM a Robot!” People in costume are welcome to march, by arriving at 6th Ave and Canal Street between 6:30 PM and 9 PM, and following the crowd up 6th Ave. You can also skip the line by making a donation to the parade.

This year, the parade has its first ever VIP section, too. Parade Grand Marshall Machine Dazzle will lead the special section (robot or android costume required), and participants will also get access to a “secret entry point for early admission and no lines, a special DJ and soundtrack for an In-Parade party, TV coverage and the chance to meet other Robots like yourself.” Register here with a $25 donation.

If you’d rather watch the parade and not march yourself, you can do that along the route on 6th Avenue, north of Spring Street to 16th St. The parade kicks off at 7 PM and wraps up around 10:30 PM. You can also watch it live on NY1 from 8-10 PM.
