Violent Femmes on tour now, add free NYC show with Kristin Hersh

Violent Femmes are on tour now, and more dates have been added since we last spoke.

Right in between their two NJ shows (6/17 at Radio 104.5’s 9th Birthday Show with Florence + the Machine and 6/19 at Stone Pony Summer Stage), they’ll play a free NYC show with fellow indie vet Kristin Hersh at Prospect Park (6/18). It’s part of the just-announced BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival lineup, and starts at 7:30 PM. Tickets for the NJ shows are still available. Updated Violent Femmes dates are listed below.

Violent Femmes’ first album in 15 years We Can Do Anything is out now. Kristin Hersh, in addition to playing in Throwing Muses, is also in 50 Foot Wave and their new EP Bath White comes out this month. Listen to a song off each of those releases:
