Vows performed for WFMU, playing “Emet in Exile” show at Trans-Pecos tonight w/ The Gradients & more

Vows

As you may know, Brooklyn DIY venue Emet is likely shutting down but the people behind the venue have teamed up with Showpaper for an “Emet in Exile” show at Trans-Pecos tonight (5/23). The show, which doubles as a Showpaper benefit, features The Gradients (who also play next week with What Moon Things), Vows, Sunflower Bean, Onwe and Somewhere. $7-$20 suggested at the door. More info here.

Meanwhile, electro-goth duo Vows just played a live set for WFMU earlier this week (5/22) on a show with a genre-appropriate playlist of tracks by Sisters of Mecy, Bauhaus, Christian Death, Cocteau Twins, Siouxsie and the Banshees and more by DJ Nanase Hikaru. You can listen to an archive of the full show here.

Last week (5/14) Vows played The Bowery Electric. You can check out a video of them playing “Councillor” at that show, below…
