Warm Digits share “Growth of Raindrops” video ft Sarah Cracknell (Saint Etienne)

Screen Shot 2017-08-24 at 9.15.54 AM

UK duo Warm Digits released their new album, Wireless World, earlier this month, featuring a dozen good examples of their exuberant, krautrock-inspired analogue-synth-fueled jams. They pulled in some notable guest vocalists for this record including Peter Brewis of Field Music for “End Times” and Saint Etienne’s Sarah Cracknell for the motorik, blissed-out “Growth of Raindrops.” You can stream the whole record below.

We’ve got the premiere of the “Growth of Raindrops” video which also stars Cracknell. Say the band:

We’ve always taken visual inspiration from experimental artists’ film and video of the 1960s and 1970s, and this time we set up a Nam June Paik-style experiment in video feedback, with help from Sarah and our video collaborator Chris Bate from the Filmbee collective. With the resulting film, featuring streaming, colourised feedback images of Sarah’s performance, we hope to amplify the song’s chaotic joy and energy.

Watch that video below.

Warm Digits have a few UK live dates over the next couple weeks, including Brighton tonight (8/24) and London on Friday (8/25). They’ll also play with Field Music in Newcastle in November. All dates are listed below.

Sarah Cracknell, meanwhile, will be in North America with the rest of Saint Etienne for their fall tour.
