Warpaint playing surprise free Brooklyn show at Union Pool on Friday (updated dates)

As mentioned, Warpaint‘s terrific second album is out next week (1/21) via Rough Trade and if you haven’t listened yet you can stream it at NPR or below. The LA band’s tour hits NYC at  Webster Hall on March 21 (tickets are still available) but if you’d like to see them somewhere sooner and smaller, Warpaint are playing a surprise show at Union Pool on Friday (1/17). Tickets will be given away via five NYC record stores — Bleecker Street Records, Generation Records, Other Music, Permanent Records and Rough Trade NYC — and via a Flavorpill contest. Each store has a limited number of tickets and they are available NOW. Doors at 10PM and the show is 21+.

Union Pool will be a warm-up to the band’s tour which kicks off proper in Paris on Monday (1/20). All dates are listed, along with the album stream, below…
