Warsaw cancels Holocaust revisionist event; Live Nation issue statement

Earlier today it came to our attention that the event pictured above was set to take place at Warsaw in Brooklyn, a Polish social hall that also hosts concerts by bands we love. It was pretty clear that this event was booked directly by the venue, and not associated with any of the concert promoters who book shows there, but that doesn’t change the fact that a beloved concert venue was hosting a speaking engagement with a Holocaust revisionist named Edward Reid.

Live Nation is the main concert promoter at Warsaw, and we reached out to them for comment while many on social media and various websites started putting pressure on the venue and people it does business with to make this event disappear. And disappear it has.

The event, which was previously to be held at St. Stanislaus Church in Ozone Park, was moved to Warsaw after community outcry, and now it is without a home again.

A Live Nation representative gave us this statement about the cancellation:

Live Nation, is among many promotors that books shows at The Warsaw. We were just made aware that Edward Reid was booked separately by the venue without our knowledge. After voicing our concerns to the building’s landlord regarding the reprehensible and repugnant nature of this individual’s subject matter, this appearance has been cancelled.

Hopefully Warsaw is more careful about what they book in their space going forward.
