watch Aerosmith & Run-DMC's Grammys performance

The Grammys‘ 2020 “MusicCares Person of the Year” is Aerosmith, and they celebrated with a performance medley during the Grammy Awards Ceremony (which was introduced by Common). It kicked off with “Livin’ on the Edge” (during which Steven Tyler walked out into the crowd and sang to Lizzo) and then continued with “Walk This Way.” Part of the way into the song, the band stopped, and Run-DMC kicked down a wall and burst out onto the stage to do their pioneering rap-rock version of the song. Rev Run held up a Kobe Bryant jersey during the performance, and also spotted in the crowd was another rap-rock pioneer, Flavor Flav. Watch below.

Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer accepted the MusicCares Person of the Year with the band at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Friday night but did not join them for their performance that night or perform with them tonight.
