watch Conor Oberst & Phoebe Bridgers duet on "Lua" ++ pics from Chicago

Conor Oberst and Phoebe Bridgers have been touring together a lot this year, and many of those shows have featured Conor bringing Phoebe on stage for the Bright Eyes favorite “Lua.” We caught them at The Vic in Chicago on Saturday (9/9), and that show was no exception. Phoebe did “Lua” with Conor and then stuck around for “Jack at the Asylum” by The Felice Brothers, who are currently Conor’s backing band. Conor’s set also included a few other Bright Eyes songs (“First Day of My Life,” “Something Vague,” “Southern State,” “Well Whiskey,” “Four Winds,” and “Make War”), plus stuff from his new album and more. Like at his recent Prospect Park show in Brooklyn, he did a new solo-piano song (“No One Is Going to Change”) in the encore. Pictures of the Chicago show are in the gallery above. Chicago setlist and a video of them playing “Lua” at the Billings, MT show on 9/5, below.

Phoebe’s opening set included songs off her highly anticipated debut album Stranger In The Alps, which comes out next week (9/22) via Dead Oceans and features a duet with Conor on “Would You Rather.” Phoebe has other upcoming dates, including a headlining NYC show on October 4 at Baby’s All Right (tickets).
