Last night was the Courtney Barnett appeared the 41st season finale of Saturday Night Life, performing “Nobody Really Cares If You Don’t Go To The Party” and “Pedestrian At Best” from 2015’s Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit. She sounded great as usual and you can watch, along with a web-only clip where she teaches Bobby Moynihan slang, below. Courtney will be back in NYC in a couple weeks for Governors Ball.

Former SNL cast member Fred Armisen hosted the finale which featured a whole lot of special guests, including fellow former cast members Maya Rudolph, Jason Sudekis, Larry David (playing Bernie Sanders again), and Andy Samberg who brought with him a new Lonely Island digital short/song “Finest Girl (Bin Laden Song).” Fred’s Portlandia costar Carrie Brownstein also showed up in a musical sketch about an Allman Brothers type southern rock band (which featured pretty much everyone there. Best though, is a Dead Poet’s Society parody that is an SNL insta-classic.

Fred also made a web-exclusive video where he hosts a Q&A with ‘SNL’ host allumn Paul Simon at an Auto Show that’s funny/awkward. The afterparty featured performances by Shamir, Courtney, Fred, Carrie and others. A few instagrams from that, plus video sketches, short films and the Courtney Barnett performances, below.
