D Generation

watch D Generation's new video for "Piece of the Action"

Jesse Malin’s band D Generation are back with their “classic lineup” — Jesse with Danny Sage, Howie Pyro, Michael Wildwood and Richard Bacchus — and their new album Nothing Is Anywhere is due out this week (7/29) via Bastard Basement Records (pre-order). We’re premiering the video for the album’s song “Piece of the Action,” which is the kind of classic-sounding punk that Jesse and his pals do so well. Jesse tells us the song “was written after wandering into night club full of corporate clones trying to let loose and not knowing how. It’s about daily navigation through the soulless, bloodsucking self-entitled zombies who are vastly poisoning our lonely planet.” Watch the new video below.

The day the album comes out, D Generation will be at NJ’s awesome Vintage Vinyl (7/29) for a signing. After that, they play their release show at NYC’s Irving Plaza on Saturday (7/30) with Biters, Jeremy and the Harlequins and Wyldlife. Tickets for that show are still available. All dates are listed below.

This week is actually 20 years since D Generation played Irving Plaza, and then opened for KISS at MSG the next night. A picture of their set at the KISS show, taken by famed rock photographer Bob Gruen, is above.
