watch Dave Grohl, Metallica, Fiona Apple, Josh Homme, Melvins & more at Chris Cornell tribute

The big Chris Cornell tribute show at LA’s Forum went down last night (1/16), and among other things, it featured the surviving members of Cornell’s bands Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Audioslave performing with guest vocalists and other guest musicians.

Soundgarden did “I Awake” and “The Day I Tried To Live” with Melvins’ Buzz Osborne and Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins, “Loud Love” with Tom Morello (who’s also in Audioslave) and MC5’s Wayne Kramer, “Black Hole Sun” with Brandi Carlile and Peter Frampton, and more.

Temple of the Dog did “All Night Thing” with Fiona Apple, “Reach Down” with Miguel, “Say Hello 2 Heaven” with Miley Cyrus, “Hunger Strike” with Chris Stapleton and Brandi Carlile, and more. They were also joined by Alice In Chains’ Jerry Cantrell & William Duvall, Alain Johanness, and others.

Audioslave did “Cochise” with Perry Farrell and Black Sabbath’s Geezer Butler, “Be Yourself” with Juliette Lewis and Geezer Butler, “Show Me How To Live” with Dave Grohl and Metallica’s Robert Trujillo, and more.

There also performances from Foo Fighters, who covered Soundgarden’s “No Attention” and the Soundgarden versions of Devo’s “Girl U Want” and Cheech & Chong’s “Earache My Eye,” as well as their own “Everlong.”

Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme covered Soundgarden’s “Rusty Cage” in the style of Johnny Cash’s version.

Melvins did Soundgarden’s “Spoonman” and some of their own stuff.

Metallica did Soundgarden’s “All Your Lies” and “Head Injury” and some of their own stuff.

Ryan Adams did Chris Cornell’s “Dead Wishes” and Soundgarden’s “Fell On Black Days.”

And that’s still not even all of it. Check out videos from the show and the full setlists for Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, and Audioslave, below.
