watch Hot Chip cover Beastie Boys' "Sabotage" in Brooklyn

Hot Chip played Brooklyn’s Elsewhere on Monday night (4/29), one of two U.S. shows they’re playing ahead of releasing new album, A Bath Full of Ecstacy, in June. They played mostly older songs, with a few from the new LP but offered up a localized cover during their encore. “This is a New York song” they said before launching into the instantly recognizable opening to Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage.” Alexis Taylor joked afterwards “You could barely tell I messed that up,” but it was fun. Watch that below.

UPDATE: Check out pictures, setlist, and a review of Hot Chip’s Monday night Elsewhere show. We’ll have pics and a full review of Hot Chip’s Elsewhere show soon. The band will be back in September for two shows at Brooklyn Steel which kick off their full North American tour.
