The Women’s March is currently underway in DC (and other cities like NYC), and Janelle Monae — wearing a “Fem the Future” sweatshirt — just spoke and performed “Hell You Talmbout” at the march in DC. Check out some clips, followed by some tweets with choice quotes from her speech. “Get off our areolas, get off our vaginas,” Janelle said. “It was a woman who gave us Martin Luther King. It was a woman who gave us Malcolm X. It was a woman who gave us Jesus.” She was joined by the mothers of Trayvon Martin, Mohamed Bah, Eric Garner, Dontre Hamilton, and Jordan Davis during her performance.
