watch Margo Price join Grateful Dead's Phil Lesh for "Lovelight" at Willie Nelson's fest

The Grateful Dead’s Phil Lesh played the Hollywood Bowl stop of Willie Nelson‘s Outlaw Music Festival tour on Sunday (10/21) along with Sturgill Simpson, Margo Price, and others, and Margo joined Phil & Friends during the last song of their set, the Dead’s version of “Turn On Your Love Light.” It came at the end of a hits-filled set for Phil (that also included “Althea,” “New Minglewood Blues,” “Brown-Eyed Women,” “Candyman,” “China Cat Sunflower,” “Shakedown Street,” “Viola Lee Blues,” and “Sugaree”), and Margo sounded great as ever singing with the band. Phil Lesh and Margo Price also joined Willie at the end of his set to sing with him for the medley of “I Saw the Light,” “I’ll Fly Away,” and “Will The Circle Be Unbroken.” We haven’t seen video of that yet, but we’ll update if we do.

Phil will soon be in the NYC-area for his three-night Phil-O-Ween run at Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre which goes from Halloween night (10/31) through November 2. Guests include Twiddle, Widespread Panic’s Jimmy Herring, Karl Denson, and more. Tickets are still available.

Margo Price, who recently released her new single “Leftovers,” has tour dates of her own coming up, including New Year’s Eve at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg (12/31) with Lilly Hiatt (tickets) and another NYC-area show at NJ’s Asbury Lanes (12/29) shortly beforehand (tickets). All of her dates are listed below.
