Members of The Juan Maclean, Museum of Love, Les Savy Fav, Sinkane, Violent Bullshit and more performed as Braineaters, “DFA’s premier Danzig-era #Misfits cover band” at DFA records “Ghost Dog” Halloween party which happened Saturday night (10/29) at Good Room in Brooklyn. In addition to Misfits classics, Nancy Whang donned a muscle suit to perform Danzig’s solo hit “Mother.” Video of that is above and and more video and Instagrams of the Braineaters set are below.

The Ghost Dog party also featured a live set from Holy Ghost!’s Alex Frankel, plus DJ sets from most of the members of the folks in the Misfits cover band. Did you go? If you’re looking to spend your Halloween night seeing some bands pretending to be other bands, we’ve got some suggestions.

In other news, DFA’s classic Compilation #1, which collected some of the label’s first (and best) 12″ singles, has just been released on vinyl for the first time. It’s got “House of Jealous Lovers,” “Losing My Edge,” and Juan Maclean’s “You Can’t Have It Both Ways” (with Nancy on vocals).

About last night….#braineaters
