Reggie and the Full Effect 41

Not only are The Get Up Kids finally releasing new music this year, keyboardist James Dewees is staying busy with his band Reggie and the Full Effect too. They released their new album 41 earlier this year via Pure Noise (that’s the Adele-referencing artwork above), and we’re now premiering the video for “Karate School” from that album. James tells us the song “is about a boy’s journey when he moves from New Jersey to California. He befriends an older Asian man who teaches him karate and then he kicks everyone’s ass.” As you may expect, the song is driving, catchy pop punk with metal-sized riffs. Check out the video and stream the whole album below.
