watch Smashing Pumpkins bring Myrkur on stage for "Landslide"
Smashing Pumpkins have been on their “reunion” tour since mid-July, and they had a very interesting opener at their London show on Sunday (10/14) and their Casalecchio di Reno, Italy show on Thursday (10/18): Myrkur, the Danish black metal musician with an indie pop past. Along with her opening set, Myrkur’s Amalie Bruun joined Smashing Pumpkins during their set at both of those shows for their version of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide.” Watch a video of that happening at the Italy show in the video below.
Smashing Pumpkins’ new album, and first with original members Billy Corgan, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin since the 2000 Machina albums, Shiny and Oh So Bright, Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun comes out November 16 via Napalm Records, including new songs “Silvery Sometime (Ghosts)” and “Solara.” They’ve also added more 30th anniversary shows to their tour, extending it into December.
