watch The Avalanches' wonderfully surreal animated 'Subways" video
The Avalanches have shared the animated video for their terrific summer single “Subways” from Wildflower. Made by French illustrators Mrzyk & Moriceau, it’s a hypnogogic trip underground involving payphone-using pickles, nunchuck-weilding daisies, and other surreal delights. Part Dali, part early-’70s Sesame Street, it’s a real treat and you can watch it below.
Meanwhile, after being taken down for a while, The Avalanches’ truly amazing cut-and-paste The WAS video (which collages over 100 movies and TV shows) is back up and you can watch that below as well.
