Pee-wees Big Holiday

Pee-wee’s Big Holiday, the first new Pee-wee Herman movie in 28 years, will premiere on Netflix on March 18. As you may recall, the movie is produced by Judd Apatow and directed by PFFR’s John Lee (Wonder Showzen, Delocated). Devo’s Mark Motherbaugh did the music this time and here’s the synopsis:

A fateful meeting with a mysterious stranger inspires Pee-wee Herman to take his first-ever holiday in this epic story of friendship and destiny.

A teaser trailer for the movie has just been released and fans of Pee-Wee’s Rube Goldberg style house will dig this. You can watch below.

Speaking of Judd Apatow and Netflix, he’s created a new series for them titled LOVE which will drop February 19. It stars co-creator Paul Rust (Comedy Bang! Bang!) and Community‘s Gillian Jacobs and is described thusly:

LOVE follows Gus and Mickey as they navigate the exhilarations and humiliations of intimacy, commitment, and other things they were hoping to avoid.

Having recently ended their respective dysfunctional relationships, Gus and Mickey meet each other by chance at a convenience store and forge a connection in the mending of their broken hearts and egos.

Fans of Apatow’s series Freaks & Geeks may recognize a few McKinley High School staffmembers amongst LOVE‘s cast. (Nice to see you, Dave “Gruber” Allen.) You can watch the trailer for LOVE below.
