Wax Trax! Records documentary announces DVD & soundtrack release (stream a track)

The documentary Industrial Accident: The Story of Wax Trax!, which tells the story of the Chicago independent label that was home to Ministry, Front 242, KMFDM, Revolting Cocks, Meat Beat Manifesto and other industrial groups, was screened at festivals last year (including Rooftop Films in NYC), and has now announced it’ll be on DVD and Blu-ray on April 16, with on-demand to follow later. The film features interviews with Trent Reznor, Dave Grohl, Ian MacKaye, Jello Biafra, Cosey Fanni Tutti, Al Jourgensen, Franke Nardiello, Chris Connelly and more, and you can pre-order it now and watch the trailer below.

Meanwhile, Wax Trax! is also releasing a soundtrack for Industrial Accident, featuring unreleased and out-of-print tracks from KMFDM, Front 242, Laibach, Chris Connelly, The Young Gods, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult and more. The album’s also out April 16, but you can get a special, exclusive Record Store Day edition on April 13. There’s also a “Cash Grab” deluxe edition that comes with 40 page book, a translucent white mystery 7” with unreleased tracks, the documentary on Blu-ray with bonus disc, a postcard set, slipmat, patch, poster, 7” adapter, enamel pin, all in a custom box.
