Wear Your Wounds

Wear Your Wounds (Converge's J Bannon) going on first proper US tour

Converge vocalist J Bannon released his very solid debut album with his slowcore-ish project Wear Your Wounds earlier this year, and made WYW’s live debut at Roadburn. Now J and his band — which also includes Mike McKenzie (The Red Chord), Chris Maggio (Sleigh Bells, Trap Them, Coliseum), Sean Martin (Hatebreed, Kid Cudi, Twitching Tongues), and Adam McGrath (Cave In, Zozobra) — have announced their first proper US shows for October. The shows are with Chrome Over Brass (the one-man instrumental project of drummer Alex Garcia-Rivera of American Nightmare), and special guests are promised too.

The shows include one in Brooklyn on October 7 at Saint Vitus (tickets). All dates are listed below.

J Bannon will be back to play that same venue when Converge’s tour hits Vitus for two sold-out shows in December. Converge’s new album The Dusk In Us is due out November 3 via Epitaph.

Converge drummer Ben Koller will also be at Vitus in October with All Pigs Must Die. Tonight (9/15), Koller’s band Mutoid Man wrap up their run on the Danzig tour in Detroit. After that, Danzig plays Riot Fest this weekend.
