Weyes Blood signs to Sub Pop for 2018 LP, covered Soft Machine & Fred Neil

Weyes Blood has been having an incredible year. She released the great Front Row Seat to Earth this past October (on Mexican Summer), followed by a collaborative EP with Ariel Pink, appearances on the recent Perfume Genius and Kirin J Callinan albums, and a cosign from Lorde. Now she has signed to Sub Pop for her next album, which will be out in 2018. Exciting news!

While you wait for that, Weyes Blood just released a new two-song single on Mexican Summer with covers of Soft Machine’s “A Certain Kind” and Fred Neil’s “Everybody’s Talkin.” You can hear both of those below.

Weyes Blood is also opening Father John Misty‘s Pure Comedy tour (which already hit NYC with different openers) this month through November. All dates are listed below.
