Famed indie label Thrill Jockey is celebrating its 20th Anniversary with this weekend. There was a show at Death by Audio last night (9/14) and tonight is the big party at Webster Hall with Tortoise, Future Islands, Matmos, Liturgy and D. Charles Speer & the Helix. Tickets are still available.

The Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival keeps the laughs rolling tonight at two venues. At Union Hall there’s two shows: an all-ages afternoon matinee (4PM) titled, “Uh Oh: Dangerous, Inappropriate Comedy For Teenagers” (tix stilll available) that promises “A comedy show for sexually active teens or families that don’t feel too weird if adult subject matter is discussed” and then later that night it’s “Comedians Two to Five Years Away From Their Own TV Shows” with Emily Heller, Michael Che, Jena Friedman and Matt Mccarthy (sold out). Meanwhile at the Bell House it’s “Talent Show presents: Speech & Debate” with Daniel Kitson, Mark Oppenheimer, Todd Barry, Dave Hill, Eugene Mirman, Hari Kondabolu, Brendon Small, Stuckey And Murray, Arian Moayad, Sarah Vowell, Ashlie Atkinson and Meg Griffiths and tickets are still available.
