Oakland, CA post-metal pummellers Neurosis play their first NYC show in five years tonight at Brooklyn Masonic Temple. Sold out.

UK band Palma Violets, that NME called “the Sound of 2013,” make their American debut at Shea Stadium tonight, the first of three NYC shows they’ll play over the next week. Advance tickets are still available. You can stream Palma Violets’ new single, “Step Up for the Cool Cats,” below.
