Browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows. Here are some highlights…

Dirty Beaches, Heathered Pearls, Xray Eyeballs @ Mercury Lounge
Lo-fi experimentalist Dirty Beaches (aka Alex Zhang Hungtai) recently released his new double album, Drifters/Love Is The Devil, and though he won’t be doing a full North American tour in support of it until September, he’s coming to NYC for two shows this week. The first of those happens tonight at Mercury Lounge where he’ll play solo, focusing on Drifters material. Heathered Pearls and Brooklyn garage punks Xray Eyeballs.

Courtney Love, Starred @ Warsaw
Former Hole singer Courtney Love is on a solo tour with goth duo Starred that comes to the NYC-area four times this week. The first of those shows is in Brooklyn tonight at Warsaw. Courtney isn’t planning to have her new solo LP until about Christmas, and isn’t playing the new stuff on this tour. Recent setlists make it look like there’s a good chance of hearing a few Live Through This tracks, a few Celebrity Skin tracks, and then mostly solo Courtney and latter-day Hole. A video of her playing “Asking For It” in Maryland earlier this week is below.

Ski Lodge, The Denzels, Haybaby, Toons @ 285 Kent
Brooklyn’s Ski Lodge, who have their debut album on the way, just played Cameo on Saturday (6/22), but if you missed that one, you’ll have another chance to catch them tonight at 285 Kent.

Rufus Wainwright, Martha Wainwright, Norah Jones, Emmylou Harris, Mark Ronson @ BAM
BAM is hosting a benefit for the Kate McGarrigle Foundation tonight with music from Rufus and Martha Wainwright, and they’ll be joined by special guests, incuding Norah Jones, Emmylou Harris, and Mark Ronson. Tickets (ranging from $45 to $300) are still available.

Light Heat, Caged Animals, Life Size Maps @ Glasslands
Light Heat, the psych-pop project of Manzarin frontman Quentin Stoltzfus with members of The Walkmen, released their self titled debut album (stream it at NY Times) this week (6/25) via Ribbon Music, and are playing some shows in support of it, two of which are in NYC. The first of those happens tonight at Glasslands with Caged Animals and Light Size Maps (tickets) and tomorrow at Mercury Lounge with The Dardys (tickets).

Nothing Changes w/ Black Marble, Light House @ Home Sweet Home
Gothic post-punkers Black Marble headline the late night party Nothing Changes tonight, roping in support from Light House and DJs Total Ward (Rituals) & Hi-Fi Hillary. As usual, Home Sweet Home will be soupy with fog and the lighted silhouettes of goth dancers will keep the party moving until way too late.

Treetop Flyers

Treetop Flyers @ Mercury Lounge
London’s harmony-driven folkies Treetop Flyers have a new album, The Mountain Moves, out this week, and they’re coming to the US and they’ll play their first of two NYC shows tonight at Mercury Lounge. Support comes from The Loom.

Conveyor, ARMS & more @ Pianos
Brooklyn’s Conveyor are in the end of a June residency at Pianos (158 Ludlow St), and tonight’s show is with Sofa Club, ARMS, and Bladerunner Trio.

Smoke DZA, Vinny Cha$e & more @ The Studio at Webster Hall
The Studio at Webster Hall is hosting a pretty good rap bill tonight headlined by local rapper Smoke DZA, and also featuring sets from Vinny Cha$e, BBA, H Squared, Caspa Narkz, and M@rv3lou$.

Other good shows tonight include Zach Kale, Plates of Cake, The Top, and Woodsy Pride at Death by Audio, Yellowbirds and Superhumanoids at Rockwood stage 2, and Mina Caputo at Bowery Electric.
