Browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows. Here are some highlights…

Bushwick Block Party w/ Action Bronson, Pictureplane, Jamaican Queens, Tiki Disco, MC Todd, Death Threat, World’s Fair, Galleon, Full Service, The Moon Dudes, Big Ups,  Joe Pickle (FREE)
The Bushwick Block Party returns today across multiple stages on Moore Street between Bogart & White with a diverse lineup of rap, punk, dance, indie, and more. Plus there’s gonna be tons of food courtesy of Roberta’s Pizza and chef Action Bronson.

Bob Dylan, Wilco, Beck @ Jones Beach
The Americanarama tour hits Jones Beach tonight, and while Bob Dylan and Wilco are usually being joined by My Morning Jacket on these shows, they’re changing it up tonight and having Beck instead.

Mannie Fresh @ Le Poisson Rouge
Sure, Mannie Fresh without the rest of the Cash Money crew is not quite as sexy, but then think about the hits. All. Those. Hits. If you’re a fan of hip hop in the late 90s/early 00s, it’s hard to resist.

Midnight, Natur, Satan’s Satyrs, Cauchemar @ 285 Kent Avenue
Hands down, metal show of the summer! Midnight is the most fun band in metal right now, mixing punk with Venom/Motörhead-isms and doing it without coming off campy and ridiculous. And every supporting band is definitely worth your time.

Woods, Alex Bleeker & The Freaks @ Bowery Ballroom
It’s an evening of warm, folky jams with these two similarly vibed bands: Woods being the more pop-minded; Alex Bleeker a little more noodly.

Dick Dale @ Brooklyn Bowl
The self-proclaimed King of Surf Guitar will prove tonight that “Miserlou” makes just as good a soundtrack to knocking down pins as it does to the opening credits of Pulp Fiction.

Natureboy, Cuddle Magic @ Cameo Gallery
Sharon Van Etten collaborator Natureboy plays a release party for her new album, The Sweep, which came out this week

Lianne La Havas, LP, Quadron @ Central Park Summerstage
Lianne La Havas is over from the UK to headline Central Park Summerstage tonight, and if you’re going to this show, we especially think it’s worth getting there early for Quadron, whose member Robin Hannibal has also been experiencing increased success lately with his other group, Rhye.

Ozomatli @ Damrosch Bandshell (FREE)
“Kronos at 40″ continues today as part of Lincoln Center Out of Doors festvival, and here the long-running string quartet teams with LA group Ozomalti who blend hip-hop and rock, funk, salsa, cumbia and more. Free.

Unstoppable Death Machines, Reptilian Shape Shifters, Ken South Rock, Beasty @ Death By Audio
Armed with a tower of speakers and homemade face mics, bass-n-drums duo Unstoppable Death Machines have an original look to match their in-your-face sound.

Night Moves, ARMS @ Glasslands
If you’re going to see Night Moves tonight, do show up early and check out ARMS whose new EP sounds quite good.

The Gaslight Anthem, Dave Hause, The Scandals, Frances and the Foundation @ Irving Plaza
The Gaslight Anthem are on their second of three NYC shows tonight. This is the smallest one (and the only one indoors), and it’s free but you had to request a ticket. Likeminded artists Dave Hause (of the Loved Ones) and NJ punks The Scandals are on the bill too.

Bambi Kino @ Maxwell’s
Only five days left of Maxwell’s, and this is one of the few shows you can still get tickets to. Bambi Kino are a Beatles tribute act of the highest concept, recreating their days as a cover band in Hamburg. Onetime GBV member Doug Gillard is among the moonlighting indie rockers in the lineup.

Lemonade, Selebrities @ Mercury Lounge (FREEE)
A double bill of ’80s synthpop, with one group leaning pop (Lemonade) and one a little postpunk (Selebrities). To get into this show you had to RSVP with the Thrillcall mobile app.

A Guy Called Gerald
IMAGE

Warm Up w/ A Guy Called Gerald, Ben UFO, Majical Cloudz, Daniel Avery, Roosevelt @ MoMA PS1
The forward thinking electronic music series, Warm Up, continues in MoMA PS1’s courtyard tonight. Like basically every week, the lineup is great, but we especially recommend UK acid house/techno legend A Guy Called Gerald and Montreal indie pop duo Majical Cloudz.

A Guy Called Gerald @ Cameo
If you wanna see A Guy Called Gerald in air-conditioned comfort, he plays again tonight at the impossibly tiny Cameo.

Paul Weller @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
The Modfather plays the final of three sold-out NYC shows tonight. Expect well-tailored suits, consummate professionalism, and a smattering of classic songs from throughout his 30+ year career.

Robert Plant presents the Sensational Space Shifters, Phosphorescent @ Prospect Park Bandshell
Robert Plant brings his current band to Brooklyn tonight for an outdoor show in Prospect Park. If you’e wondering what to expect, recent setlist have included mostly Zeppelin tunes. And if you’re going, definitely don’t miss opener Phosphorescent, whose new album, Muchacho, is a great folk rock record.

Lo Pan, Gozu, Black Black Black, Supermachine, Geezer, Wizard Eye, Borracho, Lord Fowl @ The Acheron
Ohio stoner-groovers Lo-Pan, fresh off their new LP, Sasquanaut, headline this show that’s being called “The Eye of the Stoned Goat Fest.” So it’s gonna be that kind of night.

Lord Dying, Howl @ Coco666
Lord Dying is totally underrated, and is the clear draw of this show at Coco66. All the riffy Mastodon-ian greatness that every band in the world (including Howl) is dying for but can’t quite achieve, yet a concentration on letting those riffs breathe. Long live Lord Dying.

Rush Midnight, Baby Streuth @ The Rock Shop (FREE)
If Sting had ever done a song on the Miami Vice soundtrack, it might’ve sounded a little like Rush Midnight, whose music mixes hazy synths and reggae-leaning rhythms. This afternoon show starts at 4 PM and is free.

Chappo @ The Surf Lodge (FREE)
If you out on Long Island today, the Surf Lodge’s summer series features Brooklyn’s theatrical rockers, Chappo. Free.

Turbo Fruits, Andy Animal’s Cannibal Tribe, Mighty Fine, Jonathan Toubin (DJ Set), Josh Styles (DJ Set) @ Union Pool (FREE)
This week’s installment of Union Pool’s Saturday afternoon series is a good one, with Nashville’s Turbofruits and DJ Jonathan Toubin amongst the free entertainment. 2 PM.

Luciano, Carl Craig, Moodymann @ 5 North 11th St (at Kent Ave)
Verboten is throwing a dance party in Williamsburg today headlined by b2b DJ sets from Luciano and Carl Craig. Goes from 2 PM to 10 PM.

Dickey Betts & Great Southern, The Fabulous Thunderbirds Feat. Kim Wilson, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Beverly McClellan @ The Paramount

Monkey: Journey to the West @ Lincoln Center
Damon Albarn, Chen Shi-Zheng, and Jamie Hewlett’s musical take on one of China’s most famous tales is part opera, part Cirque du Soleil.

Cold Specks and Thundercat were supposed to have played Weeksville Heritage Center, but that show has been canceled.
