You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

A Memorial Concert for Pete and Toshi Seeger @ Damrosch Park Bandshell
Part of both Lincoln Center Out of Doors and Seeger Fest, this memorial concert features performances from Adira and David Amram, Tom Chapin and The Chapin Sisters, Guy Davis,Emma’s Revolution, Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion, Kim & Reggie Harris, Hudson River Sloop Singers, Michael Moore, Holly Near, George Wein, Dar Williams, The Vanaver Caravan, Paul Winter Consort, Peter Yarrow and Dan Zanes. 4 PM, free.

OOIOO, Man Forever @ LPR
Led by Yoshimi of Boredoms, OOIOO have been around since the ’90s, making highly-rhythmic, experimental music with each new album rarely sounding like its predecessor. The band released Gamel last year in Japan (their first since 2009) which is based around the ancient instrument, the gamelan, and is said to be the most representative of the band’s live sound.

Bill Nye (The Science Guy) @ Irving Plaza
A PBS kids TV superstar in the ’90s, Bill has seen a resurgence lately (we could use more science in the world); this is the last of his three sold-out nights at Irving Plaza.

Black Anvil, Psalm Zero, Fantom Warrior, Yellow Eyes @ Saint Vitus
NYC black metal crew Black Anvil’s new album is big sounding stuff, and they’ll be playing the entirety of it at Saint VItus tonight. Joining them is experimental duo Psalm Zero, thrashers Fantom Warrior, and another local black metal band, Yellow Eyes.

Team Spirit, Celestial Shore, The Factory Seconds, granny, Bourgeois
Bulletwound @ Secret Location (Gigawatts Festival)
The four-day Gigawatts Festival comes to a close with this day house party show at a “secret location.” If interested you might want to keep an eye on the Facebook event page for the details.

Tomboy, Mannequin Pussy, Marge, Littler @ Silent Barn
Tomboy feature a member of Potty Mouth and if you like that band’s catchy, punkish indie rock, you’ll probably dig this one too. NYC’s Mannequin Pussy are a good match. They switch between rapid fast punk and slower, borderline shoegaze stuff.

Hannibal Buress @ Knitting Factory
Big league comedy talent (Chris Rock, Louis CK, etc) show up regularly (and unannounced) for Hannibal’s very popular free comedy show at Knitting Factory’s front bar. Having had his own Comedy Central special and a featured performer on Broad City, Hannibal himself is getting pretty big league. Get there early.
