You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Sleaford Mods, The Rogers Sisters, The Gotobeds @ The Wick
BrooklynVegan is psyched to be presenting this killer line-up featuring the North American live debut of the entertainingly profane, very British duo Sleaford Mods. We’re also excited that Pittsburgh’s sneery punks The Gotobeds are playing (RIYL Parquet Courts and Protomartyr) are on the bill, as well as reunited ’00s-era Brooklyn postpunks The Rogers Sisters. Hope to see you there.

Bob Dylan @ Beacon Theatre
Bob Dylan undeniably changed the worlds of folk music and folk rock, and over half a century after the release of his first album he’s still going strong. His 36th album is due out next year and right now he’s on a tour which continues his five-night run at Beacon Theater tonight. This is night 2.

Run The Jewels, RatKing, Despot @ Stage 48
El-P’s a veteran of New York’s underground rap scene, and Killer Mike’s a veteran of the Outkast-associated Atlanta scene, but against all odds they’ve come together as one of the most badass, forward-thinking hip hop duos in recent memory, Run the Jewels. Tonight’s their first of two Stage 48 shows on this tour.

Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies, Exodus @ Wellmont Theatre
The current version of Slayer has Tom Araya and Kerry King joined by their ’90s-era drummer Paul Bostaph and Exodus guitarist Gary Holt, but not having their full classic lineup (RIP Jeff Hanneman) won’t stop them from bringing three decades of breakneck-speed thrash tonight. And this show is a triple attack of thrash with two other veteran bands, Suicidal Tendencies and Exodus.

Mike Doughty @ City Winery
This is one of Doughty’s “Question Jar” shows where audience members can submit questions (guess where) that the former Soul Coughing singer then answers in between songs.

Quintron & Miss Pussycat, Ice Balloons, Moondudes, DJ Alix Brown @ Baby’s All Right
After last night’s more avant-garde show with his “Weather Warlock” synth, Quintron will be partying it up with Miss Pussycat tonight. Kyp Malone’s funky side project Ice Balloons are on the bill too, making for a fun Saturday night option.

Spank Rock, Grandemarshall, Duckwrth, The Kickdrums, Nana B. @ Brooklyn Night Bazaar
Well it’s official gift-giving season and BKNB has loads of local crafts to choose from. Plus: booze, snackys, arcade games, ping pong, mini golf and a full evening of music, tonight headlined Baltimore banger-maker, Spank Rock.

Kepi Ghoulie & Mean Jeans, Hector’s Pets, Gozer @ Grand Victory
Kepi Ghoulie, frontman of the now-defunct Lookout! Records punk vets Groovie Ghoulies, will be playing the songs of his old band backed by the newer garage punk rippers Mean Jeans tonight. After that, Mean Jeans play their own set. Sounds like a cool show all around.

R. Stevie Moore, Big Muff Radio, Limited @ Glasslands
It’s one of the final shows at Glasslands (only open for about another month), and tonight they’ve got the godfather of lo-fi home recording himself, R. Stevie Moore. R. Stevie collaborator Big Muff Radio opens.

Phil Lesh @ Capitol Theatre
Another weekend, another 2-night stand of Phil Lesh at The Cap. As any Deadhead can tell you, Phil Lesh plays the favorites and his current band does it well. It’s another night of his never-ending residency at The Cap, and these shows are always a good time.

Jimi Hendrix tribute w/ Robby Krieger & more @ BB King’s Blues Club
Jimi Hendrix would have turned 72 this year, and tonight his birthday’s being celebrated with a tribute show at BB King’s. On board for this is another rock guitar innovator, Robby Krieger of The Doors, along with Vince Martel of Vanilla Fudge, Patrick Stanfield Jones who played with Isley Bros, Gary Serkin who played with Billy Cox & Mitch Mitchell, and more.
