What's going on Tuesday? (The Mob, Kuroma, Steve Earle, Circle of Buzzards, The Teen Age, A Giant Dog & more)

Mob

You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

The Mob, Survival, Suicidas, Pox @ Acheron
The Mob helped pioneer the anarcho-punk subgenre along with other ’70s/’80s UK bands like Crass, whose label they were briefly signed to. (The Mob later started their own label, All the Madmen Records.) They’ve been reunited for a few years now, though chances to see them in the US are still rare, so catch them while you can.

Steve Earle, Willie Nile @ City Winery
Folk legend Steve Earle plays another of his recurring City Winery shows tonight. This one was rescheduled from his January 26 show that a snowstorm cancelled.

Chet Faker, XXYYXX @ Terminal 5 (and Output afterparty)
Chet Faker headlines this show, and if you’re going we recommend showing up for XXYYXX too. They do it again at late-night at Output (DJ sets), and at T5 tomorrow.

Kuroma, Love as Laughter, Glyph City @ Baby’s All Right
MGMT-related band Kuroma celebrate the release of their new album, Kuromarama, which was produced by MGMT’s Ben Goldwasser.

The Teen Age, Little Racer, Cosmonaut, Desert Sharks, Sunset Guns @ Shea Stadium
Brooklyn pop band The Teen Age have a new single out — which you can stream below — and will be celebrating tonight with a bunch of other likeminded locals.

Circle of Buzzards, Soft Gang, Gon @ Saint Vitus
Sebadoh’s rhythm section — bassist Jason Loewenstein and Bob D’Amico — make skronky rock together as Circle of Buzzards.

A Giant Dog, Giggly Boys @ Cake Shop
Sharing members with OBN IIIs, Austin garage rockers A Giant Dog, make catchy, tune-filled songs that rock as much as they roll. This is their first of two NYC shows.
