You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Heems, Weekend Money, Topaz Jones, Kahli Abdu, VHS Safari @ Baby’s All Right
Das Racist is no more, but Heems is continuing on as a solo artist, and this year’s Eat, Pray, Thug is full of quality songs.

Elvis Perkins, Kinsey, Wyndham @ Rough Trade
Elvis Perkins released his new album, I Aubade, earlier this year which finds him in quiet folky mode.

The Hum @ Manhattan Inn
This is the second installment of free Mondays in April series “The Hum” which is touted as a “platform for unique first time collaborations between musicians working in various genres such as R&B, indie, beat-boxing, classical, punk and more with live projected video art.” Tonight’s performers include Teeny Lieberson (TEEN), Jen Goma (A Sunny Day in Glasgow), Alyse Lamb (Eula) and more.

Modern Vices, Mike Kolb and the Bulbs, Linear Downfall , Whitewash, Peace Arrow @ Palisades
It’s nice when bands name their own genre, sometimes. Chicago’s Modern Vices call what they do “dirty doo-wop” which probably has more to do with the sonics than the lyrical content. There’s not a lot vocal harmonies in what they do, but there is plenty of raw emotion.

Diamond Terrifier, Mrs. Adam Schatz, Jonah Parzen-Johnson, Ralph Alessi, Booker Stardrum @ Silent Barn
It’s the first-ever night of Jonah Parzen-Johnson’s new series, ‘Singles,’ which has a handful of avant-garde artists performing solo sets.

Waka Flocka Flame, Azizi Gibson, Ben G, Funk Flex @ Webster Hall
Celebrate 4/20 with Waka Flocka at his #iCanRoll show tonight with FlyLo associate Azizi Gibson and more.

Night Train w/ Wyatt Cenac @ Littlefield
All aboard Wyatt Cenac’s weekly comedy extravaganza, tonight featuring Matteo Lane, Mary Mack, Joel Kim Booster, Charla Lauriston, and Andrew Michaan.
