Legendary songwriters John Lennon and Harry Nilsson will be paid tribute to by an impressive cast of musicians, including Nicole Atkins, Invisible Familiars (the project of Jared Samuel, who’s worked with John Lennon’s son Sean), Sam Cohen (ex-Yellowbirds), Emefe, TEEN, Christian Peslak (Delicate Steve, Saint Rich), and more. They’re also promising some covers of Micky Dolenz, Alice Cooper and more surprises.

Atlanta rapper Father has been getting a lot of blog hype lately for his off-kilter slowed-down sound. Does his live show live up to the hype? You can find out tonight. There’s also an afterparty at Elvis Guesthouse.
Natalie Prass, Wilder Maker @ Bowery Ballroom
Natalie Prass (once a member of Jenny Lewis’ touring band) is young but her music seemingly comes from a different era, recalling Dusty Springfield or even pre-rock pop.
Night Train w/ guest host Seaton Smith @ Littlefield
Seaton Smith subs for regular host Wyatt Cenac, with funny guests Phoebe Robinson, Nat Towsen, Ophira Eisenberg, Katina Corrao, Simeon Goodson, and Michelle Buteau.
Julie Klausner, Cristin Milioti @ Joe’s Pub
People (with Bill Eichner), Julie Klauser tonight will be singing “some goddamn songs in her cabaret show. Don’t expect anything besides complete and utter magic on this very special evening of music and comedic banter.”
