You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Gigawatts Festival @ The Wick, The Well & Our Wicked Lady
It’s the third and final day of Brooklyn’s Gigawatts Festival, and it’s wrapping up with a band. Between the stages at The Wick & The Well, there will be sets from emo veterans Braid, indie pop/punks Swearin’ and Chumped, jangly alt-rockers Cheap Girls, anthemic rippers Beach Slang, and more. A third stage at nearby venue Our Wicked Lady hosts more experimental music, like Guerilla Toss and Guardian Alien.

Titus Andronicus @ Shea Stadium
Titus Andronicus’ ambitious new 29-song rock opera takes them through a ton of different sounds, all while keeping the aesthetic of raw garage punk band. Night 3 of their sold-out 5-night run at Shea Stadium.

The English Beat @ City Winery
If you aren’t too concerned that Dave Wakeling is the only original member of the band, and don’t mind hearing General Public songs too (and maybe even “She’s Having a Baby”), you’ll probably have a good time singing along to “Save it for Later,” “Mirror in the Bathroom” and “Tenderness.”

Slayer, King Diamond, Hellyeah, The Devil Wears Prada, Whitechapel, Thy Art Is Murder, Sworn In, Jungle Rot, Sister Sin, Code Orange Kids, Feed Her To the Sharks, Kissing Candice @ Jones Beach
It’s the second of two NYC-area stops of this year’s Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival tour, which makes a step up from last year’s co-headliners (Korn and Avenged Sevenfold) by bringing in two legends: thrash pioneers Slayer and the theatrical King Diamond. It’s worth catching the younger hardcore-leaning Code Orange too.

U2 @ Madison Square Garden
Rock and pop superstars U2 are now halfway through their eight-show run at Madison Square Garden. As you may have heard, Bono, The Edge and crew have managed to reinvent the stadium spectacle for this tour — which is just what you’d expect from them (and these ticket prices).

They Might Be Giants @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
Longtime Williamsburg residents They Might Be Giants will play their second album, Lincoln, in full tonight, so those of you who have been pining for deep cuts like “Snowball in Hell” and “Piece of Dirt,” you’ll get your wish tonight.

Nicki Minaj, Meek Mill, Rae Sremmurd, Tinashe, Dej Loaf @ Barclays Center
If the idea of a big mainstream rap/R&B show in a huge venue turns you off, that’s understandable but this bill is actually pretty great all around. Nicki’s touring in support of her best album yet, and Meek just dropped a new quality LP of his own last month. Rae Sremmurd have two of the most unstoppable rap hits in recent memory, and the same can be said for Tinashe for R&B. Dej Loaf is showing a lot of promise too.

Dej Loaf @ Marlin Room at Webster Hall (late)
To see Dej Loaf in a much smaller environment than Barclays Center after that show, head to the Marlin Room at Webster Hall. This kicks off at 11 PM, and two DJs open the night.

Whodini, Big Daddy Kane, Mr. Walt, Evil Dee, The Mood Doctors, Easy Money, Queen Herawin (w/Juggaknots), DJ JS-1, Your Old Droog, PumpkinHead Tribute, DJ Scratch, eMC, Rock Steady Crew @ Central Park SummerStage
The Rock Steady Crew celebrates its 38th anniversary with this free daytime show (2-7 PM) that has very long-running Brooklyn hip hop group Whodini (since the early ’80s), the only slightly-less long-running rapper Big Daddy Kane (since the late ’80s), rising Nas soundalike Your Old Droog, Masta Ace’s group eMC, and more.

Sylvan Esso @ The Surf Lodge
Last night, electro-pop duo Sylvan Esso played to a massive crowd in Prospect Park. Tonight, they’ll be play Surf Lodge which holds about one tenth of that. So if you’re out in Montauk, this seems like a fun option.

Daddy Long Legs, Bloodshot Bill, Birdcloud, Apache, and Alana Amram & the Rough Jems, DJ Cole Alexander @ Black Bear Bar
Sailor Jerry is presenting this show featuring Montreal’s bluesy Bloodshot Bill and Black Lips’ frontman Cole Alexander on DJ duty.

Tall Juan, Friend Roulette, Slingshot, Borts Minorts, The Regrets @ Nola Darling
This is a diverse bill with garagey singer Tall Juan, indie pop act Friend Roulette and the totally weird Borts Minorts, and more.

Blues Control, New Humans, Das Audit, Pill, Sergej Jensen / Magnus Schaefer @ Houdini Kitchen Laboratory
There are worse ways to spend a Sunday afternoon at this free show happening in the garden of this Ridgewood pizzeria.

Kid Congo Powers & The Pink Monkey Birds, Norman Westberg (Swans), o13 @ Bowery Electric
Kid Congo Powers has played in The Gun Club, The Cramps and Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, which is an impressive enough CV to just rest on your laurels, but he’s still making cool new music. Tonight’s show also features Norman Westberg of Swans.
