disco dreidel @ Webster hall (Rahav Segev for The New York Times)
“Matisyahu deployed what may be the only large, mirrored, rotating dreidel in show business — a Jewish answer to a disco ball — at Webster Hall on Sunday night, the first night of Hanukkah.” [NY Times]
If Matisyahu interests you at all, this recent interview/article at The Jewish Daily Forward is pretty interesting. Matisyahu recently completed his 8-show Hanukkah run at Music Hall of Williamsburg and Webster Hall. Rockwood Music Hall is significantly smaller than those venues. Rockwood Music Hall is significantly smaller than pretty much any other venue.
Crystal Castles played Music Hall of Williamsburg on New Years Eve.
