You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

Panda Bear @ Pioneer Works
Panda Bear is fresh off releasing his new album Buoys, which is cut from a similar cloth as his last few albums but brings some prominent acoustic guitar back into his sound. This is his second NYC show this week in support of it.

Thundercat @ Blue Note (2 shows)
He’s collaborated with everyone from Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar to Michael McDonald and Suicidal Tendencies — the genre-defying bassist continues his Blue Note residency tonight with two shows. Tonight’s guests are Zack Fox at the 8 PM show and Reggie Watts at the 10:30 and 12:30 shows.

The Love Hangover w/ Shilpa Ray, Eszter Balint, Laura Cantrell, Richard Baluyut, Bridget St. John, David Nagler, and more @ The Bowery Electric
Now in its 20th year, The Love Hangover is an annual Valentine’s show featuring a cavalcade of performers doing anything they want as long as a) the song is about love and b) it’s a duet. Pairings include Versus’ RIchard Balyut & Laura Cantrell, Tsunami’s Jenny Toomey & Franklin Bruno, Bridget St. John & David Nagler, and lots more. Proceeds go to Sound of Saving.

Joji, Rei Brown @ Bowery Ballroom
Joji had a busy 2018 with the release of his own new album BALLADS 1 as well as his contributions to the 88rising crew album. This is his second NYC show this week.

‘Two Minutes To Late Night’ with PanaMama (members of War on Women, The Dillinger Escape Plan etc), Ded Zeppelin @ Saint Vitus
Celebrate Van Halentine’s Day with heavy metal talk show Two Minutes To Late Night and PanaMama, a Van Halen cover band featuring members of War On Women and The Dillinger Escape Plan.

Smerz @ H0L0
Norwegian electronic pop duo Smerz got some buzz for last year’s Have Fun EP, and now they’re back in the US for more shows supporting it.

Kool & the Gang St. George Theater
Still led by Robert “Kool” Bell and Ronald Bell, Kool & The Gang have a long list of ’70s and ’80s funk/disco classics, including “Jungle Boogie,” “Ladies Night,” “Celebration,” “Get Down on It,” “Joanna” and more.

Andy Shauf, Haley Heynderickx @ White Eagle Hall
While he’s got a new album with his project Foxwarren, Andy Shauf plays a full-band solo show tonight with Portland folk singer Haley Heynderickx.

Mozes and the Firstborn, The Parrots @ Rough Trade
It’s a double dose of raucous international garage rock with Madrid’s The Parrots and Dutch group Mozes and the Firstborn.
