Flosstradamus @ Webster Hall
Flosstradamus, which used to be a duo but has been the solo project of Curt Cameruci since 2016, is in the midst of a short run of shows but then taking a break from the road for “most if not all of 2020.” Curt promises he’ll still be “working on and releasing Flosstradamus music, mixtapes, and apparel” this year, just no live shows after this.
Colleen Green, Unkle Funkle, Free Weed, Cassie Ramone (DJ) @ ALPHAVILLE
Colleen Green’s winter tour stops in Brooklyn tonight where she’ll be playing selections from “Blink 182’s ‘Dude Ranch’ as played by Colleen Green.” Vivian Girls’ Cassie Ramone is on DJ duty.
Whiplash @ Union Hall
Long-running NYC comedy show Whiplash, which moved from the UCB to Union Hall last year, this week welcomes Shalewa Sharpe, Jo Firestone and more to be announced.
50 First Jokes NYC @ The Bell House
It’s the 14th annual 50 First Jokes show, where a whole bunch of comedians share the first new joke they’ve written this year. Performers include Josh Gondelman, Nore Davis, Tom Thakkar, Emmy Blotnick, and a few dozen more.
You can also find quality entertainment on almost any night of the week at: Barbès bar and performance space in Park Slope, LunÀtico in Bed Stuy, Nublu in the East Village, Blue Note jazz club in the West Village, The Stone in multiple locations, Comedy Cellar in the West Village, and Q.E.D. comedy club in Astoria.
