You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…

EMEFE, Acid Dad, Mikaela Davis, Odetta Hartman, Gemma @ Bryant Park

The Herms, Savants @ Manhattan Inn
Mid-’00s-era Bay Area band The Herms, who released a singles compilation on John Dwyer’s Castle Face label a couple years ago, are officially back with new LP Welcome All Tourists, that revives their grimy mutant surf/new wave/garage.

Zs, Arrington de Dionyso @ Pioneer Works
It’s an evening of improvisational and experimental performances in this one-of-a-kind Red Hook space.

Razor, Bat, Blood Feast, Filth Hound @ Saint Vitus
Classic Canadian thrash outfit Razor have been back and making some moves lately, having reissued three of their classic albums with Relapse last year. Tonight they play NYC.

Gringo Star @ Shea Stadium
Led by brothers Nick and Peter Furgiueles, Gringo Star owe much to vintage soul and garage rock, but with a definite ear for pop songwriting.

Flogging Molly, Frank Turner And The Sleeping Souls @ The Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk
It’s a solid double bill of folk punk, with the celtic sounds of Flogging Molly and the more rustic sounds of Frank Turner.

Pill, Pop. 1280, Future Punx @ The Park Church Co-Op
Skronky act Pill celebrate the release of their Mexican Summer debut, headlining this rock-solid bill of post-punk, no wave and new wave inspired acts.

Pyrrhon, Plebeian Grandstand, Imperial Triumphant, Artificial Brain @ Trans-Pecos
Brooklyn death metal experimenters and France’s likeminded Plebeian Grandstand bring their tour to Trans-Pecos tonight (rescheduled from Acheron in July).

Mark Sultan (BBQ), Roya @ Union Pool
King Khan cohort Mark Sultan (aka BBQ) makes a soulful racket on his own tonight. Roya, featuring members of Habibi, The Clean and Grooms, open.

Firehouse presents Heat it Up! Kim Ann Foxman, Greg Wilson, Love Tempo in the Bad Room, Justin Strauss and Billy Caldwell @ Good Room
Best known as vocalist for Hercules & Love Affair, Foxman kicks off her Good Room residency tonight with DJ Greg Wilson, who used to be a regular spinner at Manchester’s famed Hacienda.

The Bangles, Cardiac @ The Paramount
The Bangles, who’ve been going strong since reforming in the early ’00s, still have pop smarts and great taste in covers.

White Pisces, Adult Magic, Notches, Nadir @ Suburbia
This is a cool bill all around, with White Pisces (ex-Street Smart Cyclist), Adult Magic (mem Iron Chic, Broadcaster), Notches, and Nadir (mem Latterman, Off With Their Heads).

The Dollyrots, Manic Pixi, Jigsaw Youth @ Sunnyvale
Once signed to the trust Lookout! Records, pop punks The Dollyrots will play an acoustic set at new Brooklyn spot Sunnyvale tonight.

Bayside, The Menzingers, Sorority Noise @ PlayStation Theater
Bayside headline this show, but we’re most excited about the openers: Philly/Scranton heartland punks The Menzingers, and scrappy, powerful emo band Sorority Noise.

Juan Atkins, Boo Williams, Love and Logic @ Output
A veteran of Detroit techno since the ’80s, Juan Atkins is still at it and still very worth seeing.

Joker, Gladkill @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
“Purple sound” mainstay Joker returns to Brooklyn tonight to move dancefloors.

Multicult, Couch Slut, Human Shapes, BBIGPIGG, Dead Tenants @ Aviv
Aviv hosts a bunch of bands tonight, including hardcore/metal/noise blenders Couch Slut, who are always worth catching.

Jesse Malin @ Berlin
Subterranean East Village club Berlin celebrates its one-year anniversary with owner and D Generation frontman Jesse Malin playing a full-band set tonight (Saturday too).
