What’s going on Monday?
You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight’s shows, but here are some highlights…
Lily Allen @ Music Hall of Williamsburg
Lily Allen is back with her first album in four years, No Shame, that’s due in June. Lucky folks who got tickets to this show — one of only two she’s doing in the U.S. this week — will get an early taste of the record, and probably some favorites like “LDN” and “Littlest Things.”
Horses: Patti Smith and Her Band @ Beacon Theatre
As part of the Tribeca Film Festival, the documentary Horses: Patti Smith and Her Band — which documents the 40th anniversary concerts for that classic album — will premiere at Beacon Theatre, and Patti and her band will also perform a few songs after the screening.
Rick Ross @ B.B. King’s
Times Square venue BB King’s is closing this month, and this is one of the last chances you’ll have to see a show there. It’s a good one, with luxury rap leader Rick Ross whose recent albums have all been pretty great.
The Shacks @ Esme
The Shacks recently released their very solid dream pop debut Haze, and tonight you can celebrate with them at “A Dinner Party with The Shacks.”
Whiplash @ Union Hall
This long-running weekly surprise comedy show, newly at Union Hall, features some of New York’s best comedians. Last week, ostensibly hopping around Gowanus like some kind of comedy Santa Claus, Ilana Glazer dropped in for a set at Whiplash’s first Union Hall date.
David Cross is guest-hosting Butterboy tonight and welcomes guests Liza Treyger, Chris Thayer, Drew Michael, Nicole Aimee Schreiber, Tim Dillon, and Kerry Coddett.
